USA Summer Camp in 2024
Dear Families,
Swift Nature Camp is an International Overnight Summer Camp in the USA for boys and girls ages 6-17. We are located just 2 hours drive from the Minneapolis Minnesota airport. We even pick up at the airport. We are an old fashioned summer camp were we blend fun activities with an appreciation for nature and the environment. An added benefit is children are speaking English in their daily life.
Our international summer camp has around 20% of campers speaking English as a foreign language. Every summer children from Europe, Latin America, China and other parts of the world attend our American Summer Camp program. We believe sharing of the English language encourages international friendships and understanding. Parents view Swift Nature Camp as wonderful language immersion program where children daily speak English in a fun and relaxed setting. We even offer daily language tutoring! We feel having this worldwide diversity is a strong asset of Swift Nature Camp.
We work closely with parents to make sure our international campers get the support and attention they need. Swift Nature Camp provides a safe, fun and rewarding American Summer Camp away from technology, celebrity culture and academic pressures. Through fun activities and positive staff role models, SNC helps develop life skills in campers such as confidence, teamwork, leadership, communication and character development, which last long after their summer at camp.
Summer camp gives children an excellent opportunity to act on their own, be self-reliant and try things for themselves. This new found independence is something camp children will carry with throughout their life. Our counselors, model perseverance, listening, teamwork and appreciation of differences, setting a new and high standard for your child's own behavior. This helps create well rounded self-reliant, caring young people.
We see Swift Nature Camp as an opportunity for each child to come to a new place and try new things and make new friends. Summer camp is a new place and a new world. It's a new beginning with new friends. This appreciation of differences is one of the major advantages of our small size and dedication to each camper. Many of our campers return year after year saying that "Swift allows me to be my real self with real people" and we feel that's a good thing.
All this happens in the fun and sun of the north woods of Wisconsin. For staff and campers alike, Swift Nature Camp is more than just a place to be: it is their summer home. So why not join our Swift family this summer.
