Dear Families,

If your child is homeschooled, Swift Nature Camp is the perfect summer home to continue their learning journey in a fun, hands-on way! As camp directors for over 30 years—and homeschool parents ourselves—we understand the unique needs of homeschool families.

At Swift Nature Camp, boys and girls ages 6–15 discover independence, make lasting friendships, and connect with nature through our blend of traditional summer camp fun and outdoor education. From canoeing and science exploration to a camp zoo and Lego challenges, every activity encourages curiosity, growth, and joy.

Our camp helps homeschoolers step into a supportive, technology-free community—away from academic pressures and celebrity culture—where learning happens through experience.
Through fun activities and positive role models, campers naturally develop:

-Confidence & self-reliance
-Teamwork & leadership
-Empathy & communication skills
-A deeper appreciation for nature and science

-Everything we do is intentional, helping children grow into kind, capable, and curious young people.

To put it in one word, Home schooled Summer Camp provides a place where children can be self-sufficient, and that's a major part of growing up. Our Counselors model perseverance, listening, teamwork and appreciation of differences. This helps campers set new and higher standards for their own behavior, in turn brings their new found independence more in line with your at-home teachings.

Swift Nature Camp provides an opportunity for each Homeschooled Child to come to a new place and try new things while making new friends. Summer camp is a new world., a new beginning. Who you were before has no bearing on who you want to be. Many of our campers return year after year saying that "Swift allows me to be my real self with real people" and we feel the world would be a better place if every place had that kind of feeling.

Swift Nature Camp is an Overnight Summer Camp that caters to the needs of the home-schooled child. Our focus is to blend traditional summer camp activities while increasing a child's appreciation for nature and animals.

Parents, at SNC we use Adventure, Learning and Kindness all in a Natural setting to promote each child's personal development. Campers tell us, that our nurturing atmosphere gives them confidence to make friends easily and to try new activities.
