Laugh and Explore OutsideADVENTURE TRIPS await you! Whether you are a novice or an expert, you’ll find that camping trips will be some of your fondest memories! SNC’s awesome counselors are there to help you every step of the way while you canoe down scenic rivers, hike through forests, and even take bike trips. We can’t wait to explore the world with you. Camping under millions of stars, singing songs around a fire, and jumping into waterfalls are just more of the fun you will have at SNC.

 

 

Care For Furry FriendsNATURE is bursting with life! At SNC, there are islands that need exploring, frogs that need catching, and ice cream to taste made from wild berries picked by you! Our Nature Center is filled with amazing animals to learn about and play with! Whether you’re a nature nut or someone a little nervous about the woods, we’ll help you find the best sunsets, spot highflying eagles, and discover what makes our planet worth protecting!

As the camp director — and “camp mom” — at Swift Nature Camp for over 30 years, I know how important it is for children to have a safe, fun, and meaningful summer experience. For kids who love animals, our Minnesota camp offers an unforgettable combination of hands-on animal care, outdoor adventure, and traditional summer camp fun. Best of all, we’re just 2 hours from Minneapolis, making it easy for Minnesota families to join the fun in the Northwoods!

Animals and Learning at Camp
At Swift Nature Camp, animals are at the heart of everything we do. Campers spend time in our Nature Center and camp zoo caring for pets, learning about Minnesota wildlife, and love our camp pet pig Bubba. Children develop empathy, responsibility, and confidence as they feed, water, and care for animals daily. Our experienced staff and directors oversee all activities to make sure every camper is safe and supported.

Adventure and Classic Summer Fun
We combine animal care with over 60 engaging camp activities, including:

  • At Swift Nature Camp, kids enjoy a wide variety of non-competitive summer camp activities, including water activities like swimming, canoeing, fishing, and waterfront games; land activities such as sling-shots, archery, gaga and skits; and specialty activities including our Lego cabin, Camp Zoo, clowning, and much more.

Science Camps 510Every day is designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and create lifelong memories in a fun, safe environment.
